Big jump-start into the Irish dance registrations..

Seems the word is out we're the only officially approved Irish dance workshop in Canada, and only one of 3 in North America. Calls from up and down the west coast and into Alberta are resulting in a few schools putting 5's and 10's in at a time.  Good to see you coming, Pickett, Irwin and O'Connor-O'Brien schools! We look forward to hosting you..

CeltFest 2012 coming your way!

We're so excited that there will soon be an announcement that CeltFest will be in Victoria this summer!  City of newlyweds and nearly-deads---watch out!

The Christmas Ceilidh was fantastic!

Thanks so much to the dancers: Glengarry Highland and Step dancers, O'Brien North dancers, the Bon Accord dancers from Victoria for pulling this off!
Wow! Dancers from four cities coming together for the first time on the day--quite magical!

Jocelyn Pettit and her band--amazing! Keep up the good work, Jocelyn. You've come a long way sind your CeltFest debut ant the age of 8!  Nanaimo Fiddlers, great job! And Jim Brannigan, ol' buddy ol' pal--you just get better with age!

BARRA MacNEILS' BLOG on US!

Check out what they say about Day 2 and 3 of their Christmas 2010 tour (Nanaimo and Victoria). Looks like we're famous --if not for a day or two, anyway!  Thanks to The Barras, our volunteers, our sponsors, and to the fantastic audiences who made these two shows a raving success...

The Barra MacNeils and SNOW!

Well, it seemed for a while there that every time we had a Cape Breton group coming to our Island---where it rarely snows---they BROUGHT SNOW WITH THEM! Witness:
-The night before Wendy MacIsaac was to come play an afternoon ceilidh for us, the snow fell nonstop for hours. The lights were out in the hall and the Malahat Hwy--over which she had to travel to get to us...was closed!
