Tuesday, July 10, 2006 : Wacky Jig and Hornpipe Contest and Family Pub Night
Registration now open for all programs: Highland, Uilleann and Northumbrian Bagpiping, Snare, Tenor and Bass Drumming, Bodhran, Fiddling, Cello, Penny Whistle, Irish & Highland Dancing and Scottish/Cape Breton Step Dance, Guitar, Celtic Harp, Singing Celtic Song, Harmony Singing, Drawing & Designing Celtic Knotwork, and Group Ceilidh Dance. Champion Pipers, Drummers, Champion Fiddlers and Dancers, acclaimed Recording Artists including Juno Award Nominees comprise the instructional faculty.

Port Theatre and Waterfront, Nanaimo.
This includes the young, award-winning Cape Breton group: Beolach, under the direction of master fiddler Wendy MacIsaac; also the lead understudy to Michael Flatley in the original Riverdance
, Glenn Simpson, from Ireland; Champion Piper Ken Eller, from Ontario; Current World Champion Highland Dancer David Wilton, from Scotland; and many more! They will be a part of the 30+ stellar performers who will be appearing at the Sunset & Stars Gala Concert which is the climax of this exciting world-class Celtfest event.
