CeltFest SUMMER SCHOOL:
MALASPINA UNIVERSITY-COLLEGE, Nanaimo
July 6-11
     With its state-of-the-art classroom, theatre and recreational facilities, spectacular views of the Nanaimo city skyline, mountains and ocean, Malaspina University-College is the ideal place to host CeltFest Performing Arts Summer School.

CeltFest CONCERTS and CEILIDHS:
CeltWorld of Dance! and Music SPECTACULAR
ROYAL THEATRE, Victoria, Saturday July 5th
(during ScotDance Canada Championships)
Our province's capital plays host to CeltFest's kickoff concert this year.

In the midst of the ScotDance Canada Highland Dancing Championships, this concert presents a merging of traditions of Celtic music and dance.
    Select CeltFest artists, including the Canadian Celtic group of tunesmiths, Scantily Plaid, alongside dancers, including current World Champions, are showcased in an unprecedented spectacle of the Highland, Irish and Canadian Celtic dance and music traditions…and beyond!

    Partial proceeds of ticket sales go to support ScotDance Canada Championship Series.

    Victoria is an approximate 1.5 hour drive from CeltFest Campus. Those wishing bus transport from Victoria to the summer school on either Sunday evening or Monday afternoon should call the CeltFest office at (250) 758-0208.

Raising the Roof Concert Ceilidh & Silent Auction
Thursday July 10 VANCOUVER ISLAND CONFERENCE CENTRE

    Canada's newest, and most high tech conference centre, built next to the natural beauty of downtown Nanaimo's seawall, is destination to Ceilidh Thursday night!

    Have some refreshments, take in performances of CeltFest instructional staff and students, followed by local talent and an open stage. Put down some bids on merchandise generously donated by our community supporters. Bring your chequebook….and your dancing shoes!

Sunset & Stars GALA CONCERT
The culmination of our week…what better than in the world-class facility----the fabulous waterfront Port Theatre.

With a huge array of CeltFest stars, this always sold-out concert is not to be missed!

    NOTE: Concert Ceilidhs & CeltFestival Club each night Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at Malaspina University-College Theatre & Cafeteria, open to all.  

    Don't miss the "Wacky Jig and Hornpipe" competition, when we transform the Malaspina Cafeteria into a family pub night. Crazy costumes, serious talent, and great fun! This, like all of the above nights, are student-led performances.
