Message
from the CeltFest Principals, February 2008:
|
|
It
is now OFFICIAL !!!
We will be presenting CeltFest
2008 Summer School at Nanaimo's beautiful MALASPINA University-College.
|
|
|
|
If
you've ever been there, you'll know that Malaspina's classroom
and other facilities are first-class.
|
|
|
We
are very excited about our new venue, the result of several years'
patience while we waited for construction of their residence village
to be completed. The
staff at Mal U have sharpened their pencils for us and been most
welcoming!
As
usual, CeltFest students may be day students or residence students.
Accommodations and meal packages are available to us at great
rates.
The
costs of residence accommodations are $26/night and all meals
daily for $39.00 or $19.00 for children under 12 years. Customized
packages for you and your family are available from the accommodating
staff at Mal U. We encourage all day students and visiting family
and friends accompanying Celtfest students to join us for meals.

CeltFest, CLICK HERE.
We
are also holding a block of hotel rooms at the Coast Bastion Hotel
downtown -- an 8 minute drive away from campus -- in the event
of sell-out of campus accommodations, or for those who wish to
stay downtown on Nanaimo's beautiful waterfront: http://www.coasthotels.com/hotels/canada/bc/nanaimo/coast_bastion/overview

We
will post recommended camping facilities shortly. Please mark your
calendars.

held the Gala.
Where?
The new Vancouver Island Conference Centre, of course! As we will
be "christening" this fantastic new centre, it will be aptly called
"Raising the Roof" Concert Ceilidh & Silent Auction to benefit CeltFest
.
The
performance will feature CeltFest instructors alongside invited
students and local Celtic talent. We will keep you posted on this
project as things progress.
Come
feis-ing with us this banner year!
