This course is open to all levels of guitar proficiency, and will teach you how to play Celtic songs and tunes on guitar. Harmonica will be incorporated into the workshop. It will cover some typical chord progressions in Celtic music, strumming patterns for jigs, reels, waltzes, hornpipes, slip jigs and ballads, as well as some of the different guitar tunings useful in accompanying pipes, fiddles and voice. By the end of this session, you'll be jamming along with the best of 'em! For those who would like to challenge themselves still further, Doug will also be able to teach you how to play rhythmic and melodic harmonica in Celtic tunes, as well as techniques for playing harmonica and guitar simultaneously! So bring your guitars, and bring your harmonicas and holders if you like, and we'll rock up a Celtic storm!
